Thomas Lyne and his wife Mary moved from Virginia to Kentucky; purchased the property in 1809 and the home was completed in 1815. Together they had eleven children and most of the family is buried in a small cemetery about three miles away. Mr. Lyne
became a very influential figure in Woodford County. In a copy of
his will in 1848, it lists all the possessions and the values of
each. There is a small ledger book that dates to about 1860, which
was found in one of the presses during the restoration that itemizes
all of their possessions and their values ... |
